About Event

As AI systems move into regulated, region-specific, and privacy-sensitive environments, access to representative data has become a critical engineering constraint. Learn how synthetic data is being used across the AI lifecycle, spanning data generation, training, deployment, governance, and compliance. (Technical Level: 200 -300)

More About the Sharings

Yev Meyer (Principal Research Scientist, NVIDIA) will share on "Unlocking Sovereign AI with Nemotron-Personas and NeMo Data Designer"

  • Access to region-specific data reflecting local customs, traditions, and languages remains a key bottleneck in Sovereign AI development. Yev will explore how NVIDIA's open-source tools address these challenges. Yev will share on NeMo Data Designer, a compound AI framework for generating high-quality synthetic data. He will also cover Nemotron-Personas, multilingual datasets grounded in real-world demographic and cultural statistics. Learn how these tools reduce privacy risks while enabling new approaches to domain-specific data generation, from multi-turn chat to agentic workflows. Discover where these tools fit in modern AI pipelines and how to implement them in practice.

Dr Deb Goswami (Head of Developer Programs, ASEAN + ANZ, NVIDIA) will share on "Making Synthetic Data Deployable: From Open Models to Trustworthy AI"

  • Synthetic data is increasingly moving out of research prototypes and into production pipelines - not just for model training, but as part of broader data governance and risk-management strategies. Explore how open models, NVIDIA’s Nemotron data ecosystem, and synthetic data practices are being used by teams across engineering, data, privacy, and compliance to enable AI development that is both faster and more defensible.

More About the Speakers

Yev Meyer is Principal Research Scientist at NVIDIA. Prior to that, Yev was Chief Scientist at Gretel, the synthetic data platform for developers and led AI/ML teams at a number of Enterprise SaaS startups, including Guru, Curalate and RJMetrics (precursor to dbt Labs, Stitch). He holds a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from Columbia University, where he developed models of dendritic processing and multisensory encoding in spiking neural circuits. He also performed brain surgery on fruit flies to validate these models on (non-artificial) neural networks of the olfactory system.

Dr. Deb Goswami is Head of Developer Ecosystems (APAC) at NVIDIA, where he leads regional expansion of NVIDIA's developer programs. With nearly two decades of experience in enterprise AI adoption, he partners with startups, industry leaders, and academic communities to accelerate innovation across generative AI, computer vision, supply chain optimisation, and medical imaging. His team provides technical support and mentorship to advanced developer segments throughout the region. Prior to NVIDIA, Deb held leadership positions tackling AI challenges across diverse APAC sectors including media, eCommerce, financial services, and telecommunications. He is also an active mentor and angel investor supporting the next generation of AI talent.
