ORDAO Fractal
ORDAO fractal is a community dedicated to developing ORDAO software and supporting communities that use it.
What is ORDAO?
ORDAO (Optimistic Respect-based DAO) is a toolset for DAOs that use non-transferable reputation token (Respect). Its main distinguishing feature is a novel approach to dealing with voter participation issues that every DAO faces. It uses something called Optimistic Respect-based Executive Contract (OREC) to enable communities to move forward even in low voter participation contexts, while still providing meaningful security in case of controversial decisions.
Next meeting
ZAO Fractal is adopting ORDAO! This prompted some significant updates to ORDAO to support new use cases. Here comes ORDAO v1.4 - probably the biggest release since v1.0:
New proposal types
Respecting multiple accounts with a single proposal;
Burning multiple respect awards with a single proposal;
RespectBreakoutX2: respect breakout room, doubling the traditional respect.
Customizing more of OREC parameters;
Some critical bugfixes and robustness improvements
ORDAO is already deployed and being used by ZAO Fractal, but respect distribution needs to be fixed, since community has been lacking necessary features which this release introduces.
The primary goal of this meeting is to help ZAO Fractal setup the new ORDAO deployment.
