​Following up from our launch event in May, we continue with our theme on community capital and its effects on micro & small venture building as well as scaling entrepreneurial ventures through collaboration. 

​Silindile Leseyane of Sakhisizwe Property Stokvel was the perfect founding guest, having raised over R25 million to date, building their property portfolio. 

​Next up, we have fintech platform owner, Tshepo Moloi who is the founder & CEO of StokFella, a digital platform that enables stokvels to get together, save & invest in their dreams. They currently have over 35 000 stokvels and over R300 million in transactions to date. What a game-changer!!! We have witnessed the face of crowdfunding change as transparency is embedded into the platform for each member of each group. Our Live Podcast host, Mashudu Mudau will be having a fireside chat with Tshepo to help founders understand how to leverage the power of stokvels in raising capital through community using digital tools. We will also be touching base with Refiloe Rantekoa. our last pitch winner, to understand what he has been able to achieve with the money raised on his behalf at our last meet-up, and what’s next for him. The most important component is about putting YOU, our community member at the centre, so expect some magic from how we network. A movement is powered by believers, we are grateful to our awesome partnership with JBS’ Centre for Entrepreneurship as we slowly work on replicating ourselves across other cities.
