Build Your MVP in an Hour with Replit

​During this members only session we will introduce you to the concept of "Vibe Coding" and show you how you can use Replit to turn your creative ideas into digital products fast.

​Specifically we will show you how to take an idea from your head, outline product requirements and turn it into a simple working Minimum Viable Product (MVP) in about an hour.

​What is Vibe Coding?

​Since March 2025 the term "Vibe Coding" has spread like wildfire across the world of software development.

​Coined by Andrej Karpathy it represents the idea of leaning into the "vibes" of AI generated code without getting lost in all of the technical nuance.

​Initially rebuked by the industry, the concept is now finding mainstream adoption as leading AI providers increase code quality and output over time.

​What to expect from this workshop:

​This class will be hosted by Raymmar Tirado who is part of the Replit community team and is a vibe code pioneer.

​Class breakdown: 2 hours hands-on workshop

• ​5 minutes - Welcome & overview

• ​15 minutes - Intro to vibe code

• ​25 minutes - Requirement gathering, & prompt prep

• ​60 minutes - Hands on with the Replit agent (build your MVP)

• ​10-15 minutes - Show off what you built

​We will get hands on with the Replit agent and chat with other vibe coders as well as experienced software developers for sanity checks and insights throughout the hands on workshop.

• ​Get an intro to how vibe code works and how to kick off your first digital product in Replit.

• ​How to work with Replit, sync with GitHub and get off the ground fast.

• ​Get free AI credits to use and explore as part of our learning experience

• ​Get hands on with Replit experts and other software professionals.

​What you will build:

​You can expect to walk away with an early version of a working web app, mobile application, browser extension or other minimum viable product from your early idea.

​What to bring:

• ​A laptop or portable computer for tinkering with Replit. (Replit also supports building on mobile apps)

• ​Questions for the experts and ideas about what to build.

• ​Product requirements or ideas for what you would like your app to do.

​Logistics:

• ​The event will be held in the Northern Trust community room on the 11th floor of the building. Just enter through the lobby and take the elevator to the 11th floor.

• ​Parking is available in the adjacent garage visitors parking spots or on the street in the surrounding area.

• ​Our host is providing light bites and drinks.
