THE MISSION
This isn’t just a DIY workshop — this is a movement in motion. Join Thread Haus and our partners for a hands-on community build where YOU will help assemble our first wave of StreetSleepers — convertible jackets designed to support our unhoused neighbors.
We’re calling on our creative community to put love into action — every stitch, panel, and patch assembled helps us create not just a product, but a lifeline.

MAIN GOAL: Assemble StreetSleepers
Guests will take part in building out components of our innovative StreetSleeper jackets. We’ll provide materials and guide you through:
• Panel Assembly
• Pocket Attachment
• Community Story Tagging (via NFC tech from @toinfinfty)
• Final touches & message inserts
Each participant contributes to real products that will be donated directly to unhoused individuals, starting with four young men from the Leimert Park community.

PLUS: T-Shirt Design Judging Challenge
Meet the four young men who inspired this movement. They’ve each created a custom tee telling their story — and YOU will help vote on the design that moves you most.
The winner will receive the first-ever Thread Haus x Backwoods StreetSleeper and continued mentorship toward housing, employment, and creative opportunity.

DIY STATIONS (Open Participation)
In addition to building StreetSleepers, you’ll have the chance to flex your creativity at our hands-on stations:
• Create Your Own Tee
A complimentary blank tee will be provided — or feel free to bring your own to upcycle using heat transfers, patches, trims, and rhinestones.
• Assemble or Customize a Crew Cap
Choose your experience:
– Embellish a Pre-Made Cap (available for purchase on-site)
– Build Your Own Cap from pre-cut materials — and personalize it with patches, prints, and a Digital Product Passport via @toinfinftyapp
