​Join Difficult Women Book Club and Backstory for a special session examining the ways society commodifies women’s bodies. How do beauty standards, diet culture, and sex work shape the value placed on women, and who benefits from it?

​Through novels and nonfiction, we will trace the systems that profit from female labor, appearance, and desire, and the ways writers expose, resist, and challenge them.
