Cinema Club: Breathless (12A)
βElectric Medway Cinema Club presents... Breathless (Γ bout de souffle) - π«π· In French with English subtitles π¬π§
βποΈ A cornerstone of the French New Wave, Breathless (Γ bout de souffle, 1960) follows the magnetic Michel (Jean-Paul Belmondo) and the enchanting Patricia (Jean Seberg) through the sun-drenched streets of Paris. With its iconic jump cuts, improvised energy, and effortless style, the film captures the rebellion and romance of youth. Ahead of the release of Richard Linklater's Nouvelle Vague, come experience the movie that tossed out the rulebook and reinvented the language of the silver screen.
βWe are also delighted to be screening a short film, Barricade, directed by Alice Johannessen and produced by local resident Molly Young. Please note, this film contains themes regarding sexual abuse and bullying.
