The Poetics of Scent

​Our relationship to scent is complex and rarely at the forefront of our minds. Join us on this spring Thursday evening for a focused time to get more familiar and curious with a sense we rarely give space to.

​Our goal will be simple: to build a wider vocabulary for the air around us.

​We will start with a brief history of smell as a commodity to see how fragrance became a product. After that, we will do an exercise in sharpening our scent vocabularies.

​We will also use a Proustian Questionnaire to map out your internal landscape. Then, we will shift that knowledge and energy into creating a fragrance of your very own making.

​You will spend the last part of the evening blending your own formula. Everyone will leave with a 15ml bottle of your own perfume. Join us for a whiff of something new.
