SBI Investment — one of Japan’s most prominent venture capital firms, with a diverse portfolio spanning fintech, Web3, healthcare, and deep tech. As a key player in the Japanese VC ecosystem, SBI brings unique insights into how global founders can successfully navigate the Japanese investment landscape.
From the SBI Investment team, we welcome:
Ryuki Suzuki – Assistant Manager of SBI Investment domestic investment team. He is mainly in charge of deeptech startups, along with support on building IPO strategies and IPs. He also has a background of completing PhD in physics, researching in quantum spintronic and also receiving "research fellowship for young scientists (DC1)". He will share his insights on deeptech investments and the comparison with how he sees the research ecosystem outside of Japan.
Miri Kojima – Assistant Manager of SBI Invesment overseas investment team. As being a part of a global fund, she looks widely into all regions and sectors. With her experiences living in several countries and studying entrepreneurship, she will share her insights on differences she feels in Japanese and international founders along with investment landscapes.
This interactive casual discussion will start with pre-prepared questions by Francisco (Moderator, Growth Hub | Special Advisor, Shibuya City), with ample opportunity for live Q&A. The entire session will be conducted in English. Your questions will also be welcome!
