🎞️ Synopsis
Before films could speak, someone had to speak for them.

Released in 1931, Love and Duty returns as both a restored silent film and a live cinematic experience. Benshi narration by YANG Yu-Chiao and an experimental cine-concert by LIU Fang-Yi reimagine the restored silent film through voice, sound, and rhythm.

Echoing the live traditions of early cinema, the performance creates a new encounter between the film and its audience. No two presentations are exactly alike.
