Climate Innovation at Work
CLIMATE INNOVATION AT WORK Presented during PNW Climate Week 2026
The economy we want — thriving, resilient, built on climate solutions — doesn't build itself. The work is underway in Portland and across Oregon, and there's a lot more to do. Climate Innovation at Work is a chance to meet the moment: to see what's already moving, roll up our sleeves, and be part of what comes next.
An interactive showcase spotlighting in-flight projects at the intersection of climate and economic development — each with a clear owner, demonstrated traction, and a specific ask from the community. Not a conference. Not a keynote. A working session where the room is the resource.
Real projects. Real asks. A community ready to help.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Design Portland will host Climate Innovation at Work. Doors open at 2:30 PM to a science fair-like display — browse climate solutions from founders, project teams, and community organizations building Portland and Oregon's next economy. Connect, sign up, and add your voice to their asks.
At 3:00 PM the program begins. Three featured projects take the room in a rotating showcase — you engage directly, offer input, and respond to each project's specific community ask. A panel of funders, officials, and ecosystem leaders then reflects on what they heard and how they can help move things forward.
Closing remarks by 5:00 PM.
The space will remain open for networking and to expand community visibility until 6:30 PM, in conjuncture with the Climate Curious Happy Hour hosted nearby.
