Planet pLAy - Exploring LA's backyard through PLAY

​Event Description: Join PLAY expert, Wade Holland and friends, for an afternoon of exploring nature and LA's backyard through PLAY. With the help of local non-profit, We Explore Earth, you'll experience LA's nature through interactive games, experiences, and fun learning activations. Science has shown that just 20 minutes of uninterrupted play in green space significantly sharpens concentration, reduces stress, and can alleviate symptoms of ADHD. It also helps build strong bonds and empathy for connecting into our natural world. As we like to say...Connection leads to protection.

​What to expect: Bring your used gear (shoes, backpacks, hats...) to get upcycled and custom painted with artist Abby Wren, hear from nature experts, enjoy a DJ dance party, bubble making, recycle races, a plogging contest and so much more! We'll have prizes from REI and Sierra Nevada so come ready to play your faces off!

​Our Goal: Get more humans outside and PLAY to build relationships with nature and ultimately, help protect it!
