About Event

On March 11, Model Context Protocol was pronounced dead on Twitter, after mass exposure to curl. It was one year old.

MCP is survived by CLI, thousands of servers, a devoted open-source community, and FastMCP, its most popular framework. It is preceded in death by SOAP, CORBA, and XML-RPC, with whom it now rests.

To honor our fallen protocol, we are holding a very serious funeral in New York City, ahead of the MCP Dev Summit.

Mourners are invited to share eulogies. If you built with MCP, deployed MCP, or mass-starred MCP repos without reading the README, you are welcome to say a few words. Drinks will follow the service, as MCP would have wanted. Wearing black is encouraged.
