Early-Stage Fintech Networking Lunch
Join us for a networking lunch for early-stage financial institution-oriented fintech startup teams and people who can help them grow. If you're thinking of starting a fintech company or have one with fewer than ten customers, this event is for you!
About the Event
This gathering brings together aspiring and early-stage fintech startup teams with mentors, investors, and other members of the fintech ecosystem for meaningful conversations, introductions, and relationship-building. Whether you’re looking for advice, potential funding, strategic partnerships, industry connections, or simply an opportunity to meet others navigating the early stages of a fintech venture, this is a chance to connect in a relaxed, collaborative setting.
Who Should Attend
Early-stage and aspiring FI-oriented fintech founders, community bank/credit union leaders, mentors, investors, and others interested in supporting the next generation of fintech innovation for community banks and credit unions. We specifically focus on early-stage fintech for community banks and credit unions. If your startup does later-stage fintech (raised over $5M and/or acquired your first 10 FI customers) or fintech unrelated to community banks/credit unions (eg, crypto or payment processors for various industries), this event is not for you.
No Pitching Unless Asked
This event is meat to facilitate open discussions between startup teams and mentors / investors / financial industry leaders. These discussions can develop trust and familiarity, but they won't work if startups give unsolicited pitches. As such, startup teams are asked to NOT pitch their products unless specifically asked for.
About the North American Fintech Coalition
We're early-stage startups, financial industry professionals, mentors, and investors working to bring promising emerging tech to locally owned community banks and credit unions. We're focused on launching pilot projects with community banks and credit unions early in the product development process, when customer feedback can have the most impact. Check us out at namfintech.org.
Transportation
There's easy access via the Link light rail (U District station) and bus lines. Street parking is limited to two hours, and parking in the university lots can be expensive.
