How will humans flourish in this age of accelerating AI?
Are we truly doomed, as some eminent scientists warn in the “AI-2027” paper and this video, or can we take a different path—like the one Vitalik Buterin described in his response, where human agency and collective design still matter?
Do we settle for AI in human form, or do we commit to genuine human connection? What kind of community do we want to create together? Can we build catalytic communities rooted in regenerative economic principles rather than extractive ones?
In this salon, we’ll explore questions like: What would it look and feel like to design flourishing communities in the age of AI that's centered on humans? How might we fund upstream problems that serve long-term stakeholders (think Patagonia), instead of falling into short-termism? How can we be part of building this, together? Join us for an afternoon of thoughtful dialogue, curiosity, and connection. This is the first in a series
