Kerala Meetup | UiPath Coded Apps Deep Dive
UiPath Coded Apps let developers build fully pro-code, browser-based applications in React, using the UiPath TypeScript SDK — giving you complete control over app logic and UI while still tapping into UiPath resources like assets, storage buckets, connections, and processes.
This session is your chance to build one of these apps yourself and connect it to a real external database, step by step.
📌What We'll Do During the Session
Working in your own IDE with the UiPath TypeScript SDK and CLI, you'll build and deploy a live coded app that:
Scaffolds a coded app project and wires up the UiPath SDK to authenticate and talk to Orchestrator
Defines a simple working UI — a search/lookup form and a results view — for looking up and editing records
Connects to an external database through UiPath Integration Service's Database Hub connector, instead of embedding database credentials in the browser
Reads reference data from the external database and renders it live inside the app
Writes an update back to the external database and confirms the round trip
Packages the app (pack) and publishes/deploys it (publish, deploy) so it's live on your organization's uipath.host domain
Takes a 15-minute tea break and networking pause around the session's midpoint, before returning to build and test the database-write flow
You'll configure each stage yourself, test the app against sample data, and troubleshoot common connection and authentication issues as a group.
📌What You'll Walk Away With
By the end of the session, you'll have built and deployed a working coded app in UiPath that connects securely to an external database — reading and writing real data without exposing credentials in the browser. You'll also leave with a reusable pattern you can apply to any similar coded-app-to-database integration in your own environment.
See you super soon:))))
