About Event

Thyme Care is a canonical example of what HTN calls VBC 2.0: value-based care built around specialty care. Oncology, where costs are high and care is spread across specialists, infusion centers and hospitals, has been much harder to bring into risk models. Thyme Care coordinates patients, oncologists and health plans around a shared model, using dedicated care teams and technology to support patients between visits and tie clinical decisions to financial accountability. Its services are available to more than 10.5 million people in all 50 states. It manages more than $7 billion in oncology spend, reports validated total cost of care reductions of 5 to 10 percent, and is profitable.

In September, Thyme Care closed a Series E of more than $125 million, led by Morgan Health with Humana and CVS Health Ventures participating, at a valuation above $2 billion. Alongside the round, it formed Thyme Companies, a parent entity that will build new oncology businesses, starting with biosimilar adoption and clinical trial enrollment.

Diephuis recently became CEO as co-founder Robin Shah moved to executive chairman of Thyme Companies. We'll talk about how specialty value-based care arrangements work, where the savings in oncology come from, and what comes next for the company. CEO Brad Diephuis, MD, and Co-founder, President and Chief Medical Officer Bobby Green, MD, will join HTN Live for a company briefing and Q&A with HTN's Martin Cech.

Live event open to everyone, replay and transcript exclusively available for HTN Pros.
