Join us for an intimate General Startup Office Hours session—a relaxed space to get your startup career pathway questions answered. Whether you're currently working at a startup looking to transition to a new role or interested in working at a startup in your next role, this is an open forum to get your questions and advice from MLT's Startup Careers team, who are deeply embedded in the sector.

John currently oversees the strategic development and growth of MLT's Startup Careers Pathways initiative. As the founder of Colorwave, he has helped prepare more than 600+ individuals in navigating career transitions into and within the venture-backed startup sector and worked closely with a collection of 30 different VCs and high-growth startups to broaden access to the sector. Recognized by the SF Business Times as a 40 Under 40 recipient (2024) and a Chime Changemaker for his leadership at Colorwave, John is passionate about helping people from overlooked backgrounds achieve career and economic mobility, as well as pursue their personal dreams. John resides with his family in Oakland, CA, and is also an Adjunct Professor in Leadership Development at UC Berkeley.
