​And you need to change with it. The most common way experienced product leaders fall behind right now is by treating AI as something their team does on their behalf while they supervise. That instinct made sense for twenty years. It doesn't anymore — and the org math is unforgiving: a product team that took twenty people a few years ago can now take five, and those five are often ex-CPOs and ex-VPs whose job is to build rather than direct.
