[Online] Designing AI Products That Fit the Work People Actually Do
Join Masha Guermonprez, Product Manager and Conversation UX specialist at SPIX Industry, for a free online session in our Data & AI Product Management community webinar series.
Thursday 26 November 2026, 17:00-18:00 UK (GMT) / 18:00-19:00 CET / 12:00-13:00 US Eastern (EST).
An AI product can work technically and still fail to fit the people using it. In physical working environments, a useful product starts with the task, the constraints and the people who need it to succeed.
The session follows Bob through an industrial workflow to explore what happens when an AI idea meets noise, patchy connectivity, existing systems and human behaviour. Voice is one design choice within the wider product process.
The session will examine the gap between model performance and product quality, including how to design for failure and recovery, with time to question assumptions and relate the lessons to your own products.
What we’ll unpack
How do you understand the user's workflow before choosing a solution?
Which real-world constraints need to shape the product from the start?
When does voice fit the task, and what else has to work around it?
What does product quality require beyond model performance, including failure and recovery?
What you’ll walk away with
Frame a product problem in terms of a real workflow
Identify constraints around noise, connectivity, existing systems and human behaviour
Explain the reasoning behind an interface choice
Ask how the product will handle failure and help users recover
Perfect for: data and AI product managers, product leaders and practitioners working across teams.
Expect practical discussion and audience questions.
About our speaker
Masha Guermonprez is a Product Manager and Conversation UX specialist at SPIX Industry, where she works on a simple question with a surprisingly complicated answer: how do you make AI actually useful when the real world refuses to behave like a demo?
For several years now she has been designing conversational experiences for industrial and field environments, where users may be wearing gloves, standing next to loud machinery, working offline or simply too busy to babysit an interface. Her work sits at the intersection of product strategy, human factors, UX and applied AI, with a strong focus on turning impressive technology into tools people can understand and genuinely use.

About the Data & AI Product community
Data and AI product management is still a young discipline, and there aren't many spaces dedicated to learning from peers.
We started with a London meetup in 2023. Today, the community brings together people working on data, analytics and AI products through meetups in London and Barcelona, an emerging chapter in Paris, and our global online hub.
Whether or not "product" is in your job title, if you're involved in shaping data, analytics or AI initiatives, you'll find peers to learn from and compare notes with.
Join the community for free for webinars, networking, discussions, resources and job postings. Training courses are also available.
Quick FAQ
Will this event be recorded? Yes. The recording will be available in the community's Recordings space, alongside previous sessions.
If I register, will I receive marketing emails? We use the Luma mailing list for upcoming community events and community updates. You can opt out of the calendar at any time.
Can I share this with a friend or colleague? Yes. Share the event with local colleagues, or send people elsewhere the community join link.
Why are you doing this? We bring together data and AI practitioners to exchange experience and help people develop their product skills.
