WISER Quantum Summer Program 2026
Join the Waitlist for the 2026 Quantum Program
This summer, we're hosting a training series on Quantum & AI! This 6 week program bridges quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and classical optimization to tackle real-world decision and scheduling problems at scale.
Participants will move from core theory to production-grade tooling, learning how to translate messy, applied problems into optimization formulations that can run on classical HPC systems, quantum hardware, and hybrid AI–quantum workflows.
This is waitlist-only registration. Final dates and details will be confirmed in early 2026.
Program Timeline:
We’ll share the final calendar and topics in the new year. For now, you can pencil in the following provisional session windows (subject to change):
Mondays & Wednesdays, 10:00–12:00 US Eastern Time, starting from 24 June and running until the end of July
Tentative Program Agenda
❯ Week 1: Combinatorial (unconstrained) optimization Kick off the program with an overview of classical methods (like linear programming, branch and bound, simulated annealing), QUBO formulation, learning heuristics and more!
❯ Week 2: Combinatorial (unconstrained) optimization. We'll take a look at industry applications and embark on a numerical optimization bootcamp.
❯ Week 3: Constrained optimization. We'll dive into an overview of classical approaches (SDP, ADMM, KKT), handling constraints in QAOA, quantum SDP solvers, gate vs annealing-based approaches and more!
❯ Week 4: Constrained optimization. Our focus in week 4 will be on industry applications, panel discussions
❯ Week 5: Stochastic optimization. From Bayesian optimization (Ax/BoTorch), sampling approaches in quantum, stochastic QAOA, to applications to portfolio optimization.
❯ Week 6: Large-scale/ distributed optimization. To finish off the course we'll be bridging AI/ Quantum/ HPC, circuit optimization(ZX calculus), and looking at software implementation pipelines.
❯ Week 7-9: Quantum Projects and hackathon
