PPL Walk No. 08
PPLWalk is a free, monthly community photo walk in Philadelphia for photographers, videographers, models, and creatives of all levels. Each walk gives us a chance to explore the city, make photographs, meet other creatives, and see familiar places from a different perspective.
This one’s a little spontaneous.
We’re heading to Fishtown for a Sunday morning walk down Frankford Avenue with our cameras.
Our theme is Along the Avenue is an invitation to slow down and see how one street tells the story of a neighborhood.
We’ll meet at Cake & Joe, grab some coffee, and then make our way down Frankford Avenue. Along the way, we’ll photograph whatever catches our attention: storefronts, architecture, murals, signage, people, textures, Sunday morning moments, and the contrast between old and new Fishtown.
There aren’t a bunch of scheduled stops on this walk. Frankford Avenue is the destination.
We’ll eventually make our way toward the Delaware River and finish at Penn Treaty Park, where we’ll take our group photo and hang out by the waterfront.
Schedule
10:00–10:15 AM — Cake & Joe
Meet the group, grab coffee, and get ready to walk.
10:15–11:15 AM — Frankford Avenue → Penn Treaty Park
One hour of exploring, photographing, and following whatever catches your eye.
11:15–11:30 AM — Penn Treaty Park
Group photo and a casual hang by the river. You’re welcome to stick around after the official walk ends.
What to Bring
Camera or phone, comfortable walking shoes, water, and your curiosity.
No particular camera. No particular skill level. Just come ready to make some photographs and meet some people.
Free to attend. All experience levels are welcome.
