Game Genesis – Craft AI that creates games—from concept to code to playable demo.
Autonomous Reactive Agents: Build software that changes itself. Projects must respond to non-human signals — sensor data, APIs, time, environment, etc. — and autonomously adapt functionality, structure, or behavior. No human prompts at run time.
Just-in-Time Software - Software that changes as the user uses them. Ex: Heads Up displays, CRM that changes based on user activity patterns

Rules:

No Pre-written Code: All code must be written during the hackathon. You may not use any code written before the event.

Pre-planning Allowed: Teams are encouraged to pre-plan their projects, including design, architecture, and resource allocation, before the hackathon begins.

Team Size: Teams can consist of up to 4 members.

No Harassment: This is an inclusive event. Any form of harassment or discrimination will not be tolerated. Participants are expected to treat each other with respect.

In-Person Attendance: All team members must be physically present at the YC Office for the duration of the hackathon. Remote participation is not permitted.

Eligibility for Prizes: To be eligible for prizes, projects must incorporate technologies from at least one of the following hosts: Same.new, Freestyle, or Morph LLM.
