Join us for an afternoon of coffee and conversation on how AI is already reshaping the Philippines, from our elections to our chip industry, and what it takes to build a career in this field.
Our speakers
A researcher from Sigla Research Center, a research group studying disinformation and influence operations in the Philippines, will share findings from Sigla’s analysis of over 300 pieces of AI-generated political content, showing how generative AI is making influence operations faster and cheaper to run, and how countries are approaching regulation to protect electoral integrity. Speaker to be announced.
Bernard Advincula is a Philippines Technology Policy Fellow with Pacific Forum, where he researches semiconductor value chains, export controls, and industrial competitiveness, and an affiliate of Safe AI Philippines. He will share his research on the global chip supply chain and what it means for the Philippines.
Each talk is followed by an open Q&A, and we’ll close with networking over coffee with the local AI safety community.
