FATF Recommendation 16: Singapore Payments Industry Feedback Roundtable
In response to requests and feedback from industry participants, ACCESS, the Digital Assets Association (DAA) and the Singapore FinTech Association (SFA) are bringing together Singapore’s payments, fintech and digital assets community for a focused working session on FATF’s public consultation on the revised Recommendation 16 on Payment Transparency.

The session will be led by Drew & Napier LLC and MetaComp, with Drew & Napier coordinating the wider industry consultation and response.
With the FATF consultation closing on 21 August 2026, we will walk through the key proposals and consultation questions, and discuss their practical implications for the industry — including beneficiary alignment, payment transparency, digital wallets and digital assets, data and privacy considerations, and implementation challenges across different payment models and jurisdictions.
This is intended to be an interactive working session, not just a briefing. We encourage participants to share practical experiences, implementation concerns, use cases and data to help shape a coordinated Singapore industry response.
Following the roundtable, Drew & Napier will consolidate industry feedback for the FATF consultation and coordinate the publication of a report capturing key industry feedback, practical observations and relevant data arising from the exercise.
