Talk1: Beyond Coding: When AI Agents Can Act and Pay (remote)
Introduction: As AI agents move beyond coding, they need more than the ability to reason. They need to navigate the web, pay for APIs, data and services, and know when to ask for permission. Vivi will share how Woodpecker is approaching this problem—and invite builders to put it to work on the real workflows they want agents to handle.
Vivi leads Developer Relations at Woodpecker. Ex-Twitter and a lawyer by training, she has worked at the intersection of technology, product adoption and developer ecosystems. She is particularly interested in how AI agents can take on non-coding work while preserving user control.
Talk 2 - Build a dashboard with Claude and Supabase
Dashboards are how most teams track the numbers that drive a business. They're also where a chunk of software spend quietly sits (Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio), and/or where a surprising amount of manual work hides. In a world where we continuously ask how much software costs may be saved with AI tools, this session walks through a working replacement, built with Claude and Supabase, now serving performance dashboards to several partner organisations.
Our starting point were Google Looker Studio and Tableau dashboards that required weekly manual updates or an expensive Tableau Server account. The replacement refreshes itself daily, puts confidential data behind a secured login, and adds nothing to the monthly bill, beyond the Claude subscription.
We'll walk the whole path: creating a Supabase project and connecting it to Claude, moving the data in, writing the sync scripts and agents that keep it current, then building and hosting the dashboards.
It started with a newsletter. The takeaway isn't the dashboard, it's how much shorter the distance has become between "we pay for that" and "I built that."
Bio
Juan is the founder of Red InnCol, an organisation working to close the gap between public and private education. He uses AI across software development, cloud infrastructure, marketing and operations. Previously in startups, five years in corporate roles and some others in research. Builds and maintains the systems described here himself.
