Queer Crayon Club is hosting a workshop series for queer adults in the DMV! Please note that this workshop is an affinity space for Black queer folks. Masks are required.
Learn the history of Black August and design a tote using potato + linocut printing method(s). Facilitated by artist and educator Z Pearson.
Attendees will create stamps and patterns using a potato/linocut stamp method. Attendees will design their own tote bags with a combination of stamps and fabric paint for a more sustainable + water resistant garment.
The intention behind the tote bag is to promote the Spirit of Black August and further inspire attendees to shop Black businesses and support local Artisans.
