About Event

Bring your #1 growth or monetization bottleneck. 60 minutes of live hot seats with indie app founders from r/AppBusiness. Free.

You built the app. Now how do you get users?

That's the question underneath almost every top post on r/AppBusiness — and it's the one we're spending an hour on, live.

This is not a webinar. There are no slides, no keynote, no panel of experts flown in from somewhere. It's a room of indie app founders, developers and marketers taking turns in the hot seat with a real problem, and the rest of the room answering it.

How it works

1. Welcome (5 min) — House rules, quick round of who's in the room.

2. Hot seats (35 min) — Four founders get roughly 8 minutes each. You describe your bottleneck in one minute; the room spends seven minutes on it. Everyone else can drop suggestions in chat throughout.

3. Open floor (10 min) — Drop your app link, find a testing partner, stay as long as you like.

What people bring

Expect hot seats on:

  • User acquisition when the ad budget is $0

  • Paywall placement, pricing and trial-vs-no-trial

  • ASO and getting found in a crowded category

  • Attribution, knowing which channel is actually working

  • Creator/UGC and TikTok as a distribution channel

  • Shipping faster with AI

  • When to kill an app vs. keep pushing

Who this is for

Anyone building an app business, at any stage, idea, pre-launch, first revenue, or running a successful operation. Our community of 130,000+ members span all of it, and the mix is the point: the person 6 months ahead of you is the most useful person in the room.

House rules

  • Come with a specific problem, not a general one. "My conversion is 0.4% on a $9.99 monthly" beats "how do I grow?"

  • No pitching outside the sponsor slot and the open floor.

  • Cameras optional. Mics on when it's your turn.
