4D Mapping: Shaping Munich's Future Climate (#MCW2026)

​Context

When we think about the climate of a city, we often focus on its physical dimensions — heat, air, water, energy, buildings and green spaces. Yet the social and inner climate of a city — how we relate, participate, belong and respond to change — is deeply interconnected with the physical world and often less visible.

​4D Mapping is an embodied systems practice from Social Presencing Theater (SPT) of the Presencing Institute that offers deeper insights into complex systems by making their current reality and emerging future potential more visible.

​In this experiential session, we explore the dynamics shaping Munich’s physical, social and inner climate from multiple perspectives, and open future possibilities for people and the living world to thrive.

​Intended Participants

​This session brings together people with diverse perspectives on life in Munich — including residents, community leaders, climate practitioners, educators, businesses, policymakers, researchers, systems thinkers and facilitators.

​No prior experience with Social Presencing Theater (SPT) or Theory U is required.
