Scientific Computing Recap Happy Hour from NVIDIA GTC 2026 and APS Global Summit 2026
Join us at the Hop and Vine on The Alameda “The Beautiful Way” in San Jose, California after the end of the last day of sessions at NVIDIA GTC 2026 and the second to last day of the American Physics Society (APS) Conference for a happy hour and debrief session on the week’s latest advancements in scientific computing at both conferences.
Chat with colleagues and peers leveraging new and more advanced computing tools, including everything from the latest supercomputing architectures to quantum algorithms and devices, to drive advancements in simulation and optimization workloads that scale across biology, chemistry, and physics, as well as may have use case and applications to other areas now requiring complex modeling capabilities, including finance.
About your host, If and Only If (Iff) Technologies and its CEO, Samarth Sandeep:
Iff is a quantum bioinformatics company developing new quantum technologies, including algorithms, processing units, network, and sensors, to decrease complexity and increase speed and accuracy in every stage of the drug development process. Since its inception, Iff has developed tools in topological data analysis (TDA) and quantum chemistry oriented analyses of protein-protein, protein-solvent modeling, and small molecule binding and manufacturing process optimization with collaborators at the UC Davis Medical Center, Mount Sinai Medical System, and more that they commercialize through consulting agreements, software license sales, and therapeutic development.
Samarth Sandeep, CEO and Co-Founder, started Iff to see if there were better ways to understand protein-protein and protein-ligand binding interactions in compute-limited environments. He has worked closely with quantum and classical compute providers, research hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies to transform how we view computational modeling in drug development, and particularly quantum based modeling techniques, from a way to check theoretical models prior to experimental validation to instead working directly with experimental validation tooling to eliminate incorrect modeling assumptions quickly. He is also board co-chair of Plant and Soul, a community garden and garden design non-profit in San Jose that, along with Hop and Vine, is a proud member of the Alameda Business Association.
