EARTH Webinar Series (S2.0)

​Session 02 is the first deep-dive panel of the E.A.R.T.H. Webinar Series, bringing together government, private sector, and technology perspectives to examine who is building Nigeria's digital infrastructure and what it will take to close the country's digital access gap. The session is anchored in NITSS as its starting point. Still, it draws on the wider national picture, using real, current examples of government-led and privately built infrastructure across Nigeria to test what integration between the two sectors actually requires.

​Panellists will unpack the practical handoff between government-led digital infrastructure and privately built systems, where that handoff typically breaks down, and what closing the access gap requires in practice, not in theory. The panel will also examine who is accountable when infrastructure fails, who is included and excluded in this build-out, and what is genuinely at stake for Nigeria if this window is missed, addressing real operational constraints, including funding gaps, political attention spans, and the risk of infrastructure that serves urban centres while bypassing underserved regions and populations.
