A Photo Journal Through Your Life

​We spend so much of our lives in a hurry to grow up.

​Getting to the next grade. Graduating. Applying for internships. Going to interviews. Finding a job. Figuring out what comes next.

​Sometimes we’re so focused on moving forward that we rarely get the chance to look back at the path we’ve already walked.

​This workshop is an opportunity to pause, rest, and reflect on your journey — from early childhood, to your school years, to adolescence, to who you are now.

​What were you like as a kid?
What did you love doing when nobody was telling you how to spend your time?
What were you obsessed with?
Who were the people that shaped you?
What moments had a lasting impact on you?
What dreams did you have?
What parts of your younger self are still with you today?
And how have you changed along the way?

​Before the event, send me up to 8 photos that represent different eras of your life, and I’ll print them for you.

​During the workshop, you’ll use those photos to create a physical photo journal of the life you’ve lived so far. You’ll have your own booklet along with markers, stickers, washi tape, collage materials, and other art supplies to write, draw, decorate, and reflect however you’d like.

​There’s no right way to make it, and you don’t need to be artistic or good at journaling. You can write memories beside your photos, answer the prompts, doodle, collage, or simply let one memory lead to another.

​Maybe looking back will help you notice something you’d forgotten about yourself. Maybe you’ll appreciate how far you’ve come. Maybe an old interest, dream, or version of yourself will inspire a new creative direction.

​Or maybe it will simply be nice to spend an afternoon remembering.
