Atn: Bio-Based Materials: Petting Zoo Happy Hour
What does carbon-sequestering insulation feel like in your hands? What does a mycelium-based acoustic panel smell like when handled? What does hempcrete look like next to the concrete it should replace?
Bio-Based Materials: A Petting Zoo is a 2-hour evening event hosted by Architecture Towards Neutral at Boston's only architectural salvage and reuse store: Boston Building Resources. Located just two T stops from BCW HQ, this evening mixer offers architects, developers, builders, sustainability professionals, and curious humans a rare chance to get up close with the materials the construction industry needs to adopt now.
Atn: founder Sara Kudra will present a short video-supported talk moving through each material in the collection, unpacking their carbon, performance, and sourcing stories. Then the floor opens up — mingle with the materials, and with the people already putting them to work.
Drinks and light snacks provided.
