Why It Matters
For those living with longstanding discomfort or illness (or caring for someone who is) DownShift offers more than rest. It’s a space to slow down safely, reconnect with your body, and ease the weight of daily overwhelm. Rooted in Shiatsu and somatic awareness, this workshop shares gentle, grounding practices to regulate the nervous system, restore balance, and support inner steadiness. For carers, it’s also a chance to replenish, reflect, and better understand the embodied experience of those they support.
Cost
This is a free workshop funded by the Shiatsu Society.
Bring
Comfy clothes, a water bottle, and an open mind.
Who It’s For
This session is for anyone navigating ongoing health challenges, emotional overwhelm, or the quiet exhaustion of caring for others.
You don’t need to be well, fit, or experienced, you just need to arrive as you are with an open and inquisitive mind.
Shift into calm - Reclaim your rhythm - Take back control
