This two-part experience will explore how AI moves from breakthrough innovation to enterprise deployment, with a speaker session focused on redefining R&D followed by a panel chat on taking AI from the lab to the last mile. Hear from Microsoft leaders, researchers, and ecosystem partners and gain real-world insights for your AI journey.

Session 1

Title: From Lab to Last Mile: Deploying Physical AI

Abstract: Building a frontier robotics model is only half the battle. This session brings together Microsoft Research and Microsoft's customer deployment teams to walk through what it actually takes to move Physical AI from a research breakthrough to a production system running in enterprise environments. We'll share lessons learned, common friction points, and how MSR and MCAPS are building a repeatable playbook for customers.

Speakers: Vivan Amin, Aaron Weissbart

Sesson 2:

Leading the R&D Engine in the Era of AI

This session highlights how women leaders are redefining the role of R&D as the engine of modern manufacturing and supply chains. The discussion explores how R&D is evolving from a siloed function into a connected intelligence layer that links digital experimentation, scientific discovery, and real‑time factory and supply‑chain execution. As AI becomes the operating system of the value chain, design teams and digital labs feed predictive factories with continuous signals on quality, yield, and line conditions—shortening the path from consumer insight to product invention and large‑scale execution. R&D is becoming more consumer‑centric, decision‑driven, and grounded in operational reality. Supported by partner ecosystems, this session reflects how women are shaping intelligent, adaptive R&D‑led operations where insight quickly turns into action and innovation accelerates across AI‑connected value chains.

Speakers: Felice Miller, Bella Chan, Hema Raghaven
