The Challenge

​Build Your AI Co-Founder is a hackathon where you build and ship a company with a founding team of 2–4 co-founders, combining humans and AI.

​Every team must have at least one human and one AI co-founder. You decide the rest—including who takes which role, what you build, and how your founding team works together.

​AI co-founders can take any role: CEO, CTO, Product, Marketing, Sales, Research, or anything your company needs.

​The goal is to experience what it means to build a real company with AI as part of the founding team—from idea to execution to a shipped product.

​Build the Product challenge using Emergent: 1000 cash plus credits for the winners

​Using Emergent, build and ship a functional app or MVP for a real-world problem. Your product should be something real people can use and should demonstrate how your human–AI founding team turns an idea into a working company.

​The focus is on execution: build a useful product, validate it with real users, and show what your AI co-founder contributed to the journey from idea to launch.

​Use Tenki to sandbox, test, and review your project’s code. Identify bugs and issues in AI-generated code, improve the implementation, and demonstrate how your team builds, reviews, fixes, and ships reliable software.

​11:30 AM – 1:00 PM — Hacking & Building Start building your company, working with your human and AI co-founders to turn your idea into a functional product.

​1:00 PM – 2:00 PM — Lunch Take a break, connect with other teams, and recharge for the afternoon.

​2:00 PM – 4:00 PM — Hacking & Building Continue developing, testing, validating, and preparing your product for the final demo.

​4:00 PM – 5:00 PM — Demos & Judging Teams present their products and demonstrate how their human–AI founding teams worked together to build and ship.

​5:00 PM – 6:00 PM — Final Presentations & Winner Announcements Final presentations, highlights from the hackathon, and announcement of the winners.

​6:00 PM – 7:00 PM — Closing Remarks & Dinner Closing remarks, reflections, networking, and dinner to wrap up the hackathon.
