The Wilderness
From 18 – 20 September 2026 in Zandvoort, the Netherlands
Our last Gathering centered on personal reflection, meaning-making, and authentic connection. We want to build on that this year by integrating the inner work that grounds us with the outer action the world is calling us to.
In our journey so far we have devoted much of our attention to the “ARE” dimension: cultivating self-awareness and examining how we show up in the world. Recently, we’ve been sensing that the time is ripe to more intentionally activate the “ACT” dimension, to integrate the inner and outer, to bring our expanded consciousness into the world in service of positive collective impact. Our next Gathering will be a bridge between these two ways of being.
The following questions feel urgent and alive:
Given the world we find ourselves in today – rising polarization, widening inequality, climate crisis - how are we called to act, in service of the future that wants to be born?
How do we choose to respond - individually and collectively?
What wants to move through The Argonauts into the world?
What is the source of our leadership and what gifts can we offer?
To explore these questions in a deeper and more embodied way, we invite you to gather with us again at the equinox in September 2026. Continuing our inquiry, and taking a bold step deeper, this time we will meet in “The Wilderness”.
Why Wilderness?
In The Second Mountain, David Brooks describes the wilderness as the in-between terrain — the space after one mountain (success, identity, ego) has crumbled, and before the next (meaning, service, depth) reveals itself. It is not a place of answers but of unlearning, stripping away, and surrender. A sacred disorientation where the soul becomes quiet enough to hear something new.
We believe that meaningful collective action cannot be born from old paradigms.
To act wisely, we must first empty ourselves (step into the Wilderness), get comfortable in the ‘not knowing’, so we can hear the deeper wisdom that wants to guide us.
Our intention for the Wilderness Gathering
Our Wilderness Gathering is designed as a collective reset: a space to strip away inherited patterns, reconnect with our senses and the elements, and create a shared blank canvas from which new futures can be imagined.
We want to purposefully get a little lost in the unknown, as a way to find a truer direction, and deeper inner guidance.
To feel with all of our senses who we are now, where we are being called, and how we must act to move toward that calling.
Because from that deeper source, impact becomes not an effort, but an unfolding.
Let us tap fully into our senses, and dare to dream boldly – not alone, but together.
