​The Wilderness: Where the layers come off, and something true looks back

​When everyone around you is daring to peel off their layers and show each other their true selves, something rare starts to happen.

​You recognise something real in each other. The kind of recognition where someone across a circle looks at you and you can tell they actually see you. And you can see them back. The kind that almost never happens in ordinary life.

​And the moment that happens, the inner work you've been doing alone for years finally becomes real — because someone else has witnessed it.

​It's the moment a group of strangers — and a few people you've known for years — start to feel like a tribe.

​Why we do this

​Most of us are more disconnected than we realise. Disconnected from ourselves — from whatever's underneath the working version of us. Disconnected from the people closest to us, who mostly meet the polished version. Disconnected from the natural world we used to be a part of, before screens and schedules made it feel optional.

​Three days in September, we are going to do something about it.

​And there's a larger reason why we do this:

​Some of the work this world is asking of us cannot be done alone. We all sense that a more beautiful future is possible, but it can only be built by people who've stopped hiding — from themselves, from each other — and who trust that everyone in the room is there for a reason.

​Each of us is carrying something the world is going to need. The Wilderness is where you find what yours is — and the people who'll help you carry it.

​What it is

​The Wilderness is our annual gathering on the Dutch coast. Three days where the working version of you steps aside, and what's underneath gets room to come out. We use the elements — earth, water, fire, air, and ether — and a set of practices to make our way down to what lies underneath. An expedition into territory that most of us rarely visit, to rediscover the parts of you that you may not have seen in a long time. Sometimes the path is clear. Sometimes it isn't. That's what makes it an adventure worth taking.

​No plant medicine. No frameworks on a screen. Just the work of putting down what you came carrying.

​The Arc

​🔸 Friday

​You arrive without your title. That night, around the fire, you hand over the fear you've carried alone for years to someone who will not flinch.

​🔸 Saturday

​You go alone into the dunes to face what you've been avoiding. You come back to the circle and speak what no one in your life has heard. You move what twenty years of meetings could not move.

​🔸 Sunday

​No insights. No "things to think about." You commit – out loud, in front of the circle – to the first real act you will take. You leave with witnesses.

​

​For whom

​Conscious leaders who feel the call: entrepreneurs, executives, founders, changemakers. Current and former Argonauts. Council of Aliveness members. Partners, friends, kindred souls. No prior experience required.

​Preparation

​Once you register, six short dispatches arrive in the months before – each carrying a practice that moves you into the Wilderness before you arrive.

​More connected to who you actually are.

​More connected to the people who spent three days seeing you.

​More determined to take action that is rooted in your authentic self – whatever that looks like for you.
