Sovereign Health,

Building Personal Biomarkers, Starting With My Irregular Heartbeats.

Zhixiong Pan

English Version

Biohackers: From Personal Biomarkers to A2A Health Architecture

As wearable devices continuously monitor our bodies,
we now possess unprecedented amounts of biological data —
yet understanding ourselves remains elusive.

This evening, we explore the journey from personal biomarkers, ECG tracking, and machine learning
to data sovereignty, AI governance, and the next generation of health infrastructure.

From Quantified Self to Sovereign Health,
from individual body experiments to open health architectures,
this is an open conversation about who truly owns our biological data.

Schedule

19:00 - 19:30 | Talk 1

Building Personal Biomarkers, Starting With My Irregular Heartbeats.

Speaker: Zhixiong Pan

Zhixiong Pan is a real-life cyborg who has had two heart surgeries and spent the past fifteen years turning his body into a long-running personal data project.

After years of tracking sleep, workout activity, HRV, glucose, and blood pressure, he is now integrating ECG data to build more heart-specific biomarkers, starting with irregular heartbeats.

This talk explores how a subjective symptom, irregular “skipped” heartbeats, can be turned into a measurable personal biomarker.

It follows the journey from consumer ECG snapshots to continuous chest strap ECG data, an iOS monitoring app, and a personal machine learning classifier.

More broadly, it is a practical story about quantified self, biohacking, and using data to understand the body more clearly.

Prior to this, he spent five years at Deloitte Consulting focusing on digital transformation and strategic planning for enterprises and governments.

He holds a Master’s degree in Management from Cranfield School of Management and is certified as a CIPP/E privacy professional.

Talk Introduction

Big tech companies monitor our bodies through sensors,
while locking our life data inside centralized black boxes.

We are granted viewing rights,
but not algorithmic sovereignty.

This initiative is an open-source movement.
We believe true longevity must be built upon absolute data sovereignty.

Rejecting rigid health check-in systems,
we aim to build a locally intelligent network with “physical isolation at the lower layer and adaptive fusion at the upper layer,”
allowing bodily observation to return to the individual.
