About Event

Join us for a talk by Hannes Stärk (MIT) on BoltzGen, the first all-atom generative model for universal binder design.

BoltzGen represents a major leap in computational drug discovery—it can design protein and peptide binders (nanobodies, minibinders, cyclic peptides) against any biomolecular target: proteins (ordered or disordered), nucleic acids, and small molecules. Unlike previous methods limited to specific modalities, BoltzGen unifies design and structure prediction in a single framework while achieving state-of-the-art folding performance.

Hannes will discuss the model architecture, training approach, experimental validation campaigns, and what makes generative binder design work at scale. He'll also cover his career trajectory up through grad school, as well as advice for undergrads.

This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from the lead developer of one of the most significant recent advances in AI-driven therapeutic design.
