Developing Geothermal for the Grid: Insights from Fervo Energy

​Geothermal energy has evolved from a niche technology into a key contender for the future baseload energy mix, thanks to rapid advancements in drilling and other innovations. 

​The advancements that Fervo Energy has made in the past 7 years have exceeded even the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's most optimistic assumptions about enhanced geothermal systems. Now with the largest commercial next-generation geothermal plant coming online in 2026, Fervo is positioned to lead the clean, firm power revolution.
