Persiana Easy Cookbook Club

​Join us for this month’s MTL Cookbook Club on Thursday, March 26th where we'll be cooking from Persiana Easy by Sabrina Ghayour — and celebrating Nowruz, the Persian New Year.

​Persiana Easy is packed with bold Middle Eastern recipes and flavours made simple — think herb-loaded salads, spiced roasted vegetables, saffron-scented rice dishes, slow-cooked mains, and bright, citrusy desserts. The recipes are unfussy but layered with flavour — perfect for sharing.

​In honour of Nowruz — a celebration of renewal, abundance, and the arrival of spring — we’re leaning into colourful dishes, fresh flavours, and a festive, communal spread.

​We’ll be hosted at Velora Café in St. Henri, who will be open exclusively for our event and serving café drinks for purchase all evening — perfect for lingering over seconds (and thirds).

​Whether you’re new to Persian flavours or already obsessed, this is your excuse to cook something vibrant, gather around the table, and welcome a new season together.

​HOW IT WORKS: must read

​​1. We select a featured cookbook. We will be baking from Persiana Easy by Sabrina Ghayour!

​​2. Once you have bought your ticket and secured your spot, you will be sent the Recipe Sign-up Sheet. Please claim your recipe in the Sheet. We each bake one recipe from the cookbook to bring to the event.

​​3. We gather for a potluck-style dessert party, sampling dishes made by everyone and eating our way through the cookbook!

​​ACCESSING YOUR RECIPE:

​​We encourage all participants to support the Author and purchase the book to access your recipe (and many more). Persiana Easy can be purchased on Amazon, Indigo, and at your local bookstore.

​​If cost is prohibitive, call your local library to see if it’s available! If you cannot access the cookbook, please contact me (at [email protected] or @grace_noshes on Instagram) and I will happily share your recipe with you.
