About Event
Get ready to make a real impact! 🌾
Join ECO Rotary and the incredible nonprofit Kākoʻo ʻŌiwi for an exciting, hands-on community workday.
Since 2010, Kākoʻo ʻŌiwi has been doing groundbreaking work restoring acres of traditional lo’i kalo (taro patches) and Indigenous food systems, reviving endangered waterbird habitats, and growing green economic opportunities for the community. Now, it’s our turn to jump in!
What we'll be doing:
Getting muddy in the loʻi
Weeding and maintaining the taro patches
Clearing the ʻauwai (traditional water irrigation channels)
Come connect with the ʻāina (land), learn about agroecology, and work alongside great people. See you in the mud!
