BitDevs Zambia: Bitcoin OSS Campus Ignition

​Bitcoin is more than just software — it is open-source technology powering a new global financial system and creating opportunities for developers worldwide. Campus Ignition is a one-day introductory session designed to connect African students to this growing ecosystem by providing a clear pathway into Bitcoin open-source development, technical learning, and global collaboration.

​This session is completely free and open to students studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or any related computing program. Participants will learn how Bitcoin works from a technical perspective, explore how open-source Bitcoin development functions, and discover real opportunities available to African developers in the global Bitcoin ecosystem.

​The session will take place at the Cavendish University Innovation Hub and will include interactive learning, beginner-friendly technical guidance, networking opportunities, and an introduction to open-source contribution pathways. Food will be provided, and participants are encouraged to bring their laptops to fully participate in the hands-on learning experience.
