Off Programme
Out of the framework of the Berlin Art Week: the point isn't how much art you see but how deeply you connect with it.
Off Programme brings together seven artists, three poets, two musicians, and a conceptual performance not around a fixed theme, but a shared instinct: to slow down. Across painting, digital installation, sound, and live performance, the work in this show asks to be sat with rather than scanned. Some of it is quiet and process-based. Some of it moves, literally, when you do. All of it was chosen because it rewards the kind of attention that Berlin Art Week rarely leaves room for.
The exhibition will stay up and available to visit until September 24th.
Why Off Programme?
During Berlin Art Week, the city turns into a sprint where attendees race between openings, trying to see as much as possible in as little time as possible. Only a handful of artists make the official program, and the pace leaves little space for anyone to actually connect with the work, or the person who made it.
Off Programme is our answer: one evening, one building, where the point isn't how much art you see but how deeply you connect with it. Organized by Weavii and Tendermesh, this is a space for artists outside this year's Berlin Art Week program built around presence instead of pace.

Performances
Conceptual performance (7:30 - 8 PM) - Antoanetta Marinov brings her ongoing performance series Bride Walk!, active since 2021, in which she carries a white box through the city collecting advice and support from strangers for her wish to get married in Venice - a piece about art that only completes itself through the attention and support of the people around it.
Poetry (8:00 - 8:30 PM) - Dani, Fulya Muftuoglu, and Anto Marinov will help us connect further with the theme through unique poems and creative writing.
Live music (8:30 - 9:30 PM) - A live instrumental set by Najib Abidi, playing music for the soul inspired by a fusion of African sounds and traditions.
Plant music (10:00 - 10:45 PM) - Levan Shanshiashvili translates the electrical signals of plants into live sound - a set built entirely around listening slowly to something usually silent.

Off Programme takes place at the Tendermesh space, Teilestraße 11-16. A map is attached to this page on how to find the space once you get there.
This event is donation-based, in support of the participating artists and the community organizing it. Any contribution is welcome and goes directly to making evenings like this possible.
