About Event

Join us for an informative talk by curator Francesca Wilmott at 5pm PST/8pm EST

Francesca Wilmott is a Curator at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, where she oversees the museum’s photography, post-war, and contemporary art collections. She holds a Ph.D. in art history from The Courtauld Institute of Art in London. Her writing has appeared in Artforum, A World History of Women Photographers (Thames & Hudson, 2022), and Yoko Ono: One Woman Show (MoMA, 2015), among other publications. Wilmott is currently organizing a major career retrospective of Gladys Nilsson, opening at the Crocker next summer, and is co-curating the museum’s forthcoming 2028 exhibition Black Artists in California with Unity Lewis.
