

2026 NYC Inauguration Block Party
As the calendar turns and a new era begins, join us for an outdoor block party in celebration of inauguration! Watch the 2026 NYC Inauguration unfold on the big screen side by side with the community that made it all possible! Bring your friends and bundle up!
Please register below for either the in-person celebration or to join us online via livestream. Note, your registration for the in-person Block Party is good for you and your household - no need to register each person individually!

We look forward to seeing you on January 1, 2026 as New York City inaugurates Zohran Mamdani as its 112th Mayor. Our celebration will bring together people from across the life of the city. We hope your presence will affirm not only this milestone in leadership, but the values we hold dear: inclusion, creativity, justice, and the vibrant diversity of New York.
Key Logistics:
The event will take place on Broadway between Liberty St. and Barclay Street.
To access the Block Party, please enter Broadway via Liberty Street. From there you will pass through a security checkpoint and be directed into the viewing area.
The Block Party will open at 11am for standing room only - there is no general seating provided. First arrivers will be directed to the northern-most viewing area on Broadway with the viewing areas being filled in from north to south. All viewing areas have a clear line of sight to our livestream jumbotrons along Broadway.
The event will be fully outside - please come prepared to ensure your comfort in cold weather. Click here for the most current weather forecast.
There is no catering or concession provided at the Block Party. You are welcome to bring snacks and non-alcoholic drinks with you to support your comfort and participation. Please reference this list of prohibited items when considering what to bring.
There are no restrooms available at the event. The nearest public restrooms are available at The Oculus - details here. Please note, once you leave the viewing area, you may not be able to return pending capacity at the Block Party.
Entry Details:
All guests will be subject to an initial security check upon arrival and prior to ticket check. There is no provided bag check, so please do not bring any items listed on the Prohibited Items list or else your entry to the Block Party may be impacted.
About the Program:
The Ceremony will begin at 1pm and will last approximately 90 minutes and will include the formal inauguration of Zohran Mamdani as Mayor of the City of New York; Jumaane Williams as Public Advocate of the City of New York; and Mark Levine as the Comptroller of the City of New York.
In addition we will hear from various voices throughout the program including interfaith leaders, poets, and musicians to commemorate the occasion.
Music will be played during the arrivals window, as the doors open at 11am.
Accessibility Information:
We have a reserved ADA-accessible viewing area for Block Party participants who require it. This area contains open space for wheelchair users and a limited number of seats for companions and individuals requiring seating.
To access the ADA viewing area, please enter via the YELLOW signs at Barclay Street and Church Street (as seen on the map here). If you require drop-off access, please consider the intersection of Barclay Street and Church Street as the nearest drop off location for the event. From there it is an approximately 0.1 mile walk via city street to the ADA viewing area.
Captioning will be provided on all screens throughout the viewing area.
Transit Impacts + Local Transport

Can I bring an additional guest?
Yes , you are welcome to bring friends and family to join you at the event, even if they did not RSVP.Will there be food or drink available?
No food or drink will be provided or available in the Block Party. Please bring whatever items you may desire to be comfortable throughout the program. Or consider visiting one of the local businesses to grab something to enjoy.Will I have the opportunity to meet the Mayor at the Inauguration?
There will be no opportunity to interact with the Mayor at this program.Can I have an invitation to attend the Reception after the Inauguration Ceremony?
