Living Room Lectures presents Other Worlds, Other Ways: Science Fiction and the Art of Possibility
Explore how science fiction can be a queer storytelling tool for questioning the world, imagining new possibilities, and finding freedom in the act of wondering why.
Science fiction is the work of asking questions of the world around us and imagining different possibilities — something many queer people do every day. This lecture explores and celebrates sci-fi as a queer storytelling tool. We’ll talk about imagination, stories that shaped us, and why it feels so good to wonder why.
Popcorn, candy, and an open wine bar will be available. Donations are encouraged with a portion of proceeds benefitting the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center.

Speaker
Sara Youngblood Gregory (she/they) is a reader, writer and author. Her debut speculative poetry collection DEAD BOYS IN SPACE was released in May with YesYes Books.
Facilitator
Adam Nye is an event producer with a background in informal learning and community engagement across museums, schools, and cultural spaces.
