On April 18, 2026, President Trump signed an executive order directing the FDA to fast-track review of psychedelic compounds—including psilocybin and ibogaine—and allocating $50 million toward federal-state research collaboration. The order directs the FDA Commissioner to provide priority vouchers to appropriate psychedelic drugs that have received Breakthrough Therapy designations, ensuring that red tape does not delay review of potential therapies. It also opens new pathways for patient access under the Right to Try Act.

For clinicians working in this space—or preparing to—this isn't abstract policy news. It's a signal that the legal and regulatory ground beneath our work is actively changing. Understanding what that means, what it protects, what it doesn't, and what it opens up, is suddenly of urgent relevance.

Join us for an intimate evening of conversation at InnerMost with Hadas Alterman, one of the foremost legal minds in the psychedelic field, and someone with a uniquely close vantage point on this moment. Her partner helped write the executive order.

We'll gather, connect, and dig into the questions that matter to practitioners: What does this order actually change? What remains uncertain? What should clinicians be paying attention to as the landscape evolves? And what does it mean to practice with integrity inside a regulatory environment that's still being written?

About Hadas Alterman

Hadas Alterman is a leading legal advocate in the psychedelic industry, with experience advising businesses, investors, and nonprofits navigating the emerging regulated market. As co-founder of Plant Medicine Law Group LLP, she built a boutique firm to support psychedelic-assisted therapy clinics, retreat centers, training programs, drug development companies, and media organizations.
