[Webinar] Inspiration Valley - Caterina Ferrara
For the upcoming webinar organized in collaboration between Silicon Valley Study Tour and Lead The Future Mentorship, Caterina Ferrara will share her life as a Scientific Director @ AURORA International Study Center.
Caterina Ferrara studied at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, earning both a BSc and MSc in Medical Biotechnologies. During her academic path, she gained research experience at CEINGE Biotecnologie Avanzate, the National Research Council of Italy, and later at the Department of Chemistry of Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli, focusing on peptide probes for tumor radio-diagnostics.
She continued her research at the Departments of Neuroscience and Advanced Biomedical Sciences of Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, studying molecular targets for cancer and cerebral ischemia, while gradually moving toward digital health, ICT for Health, remote monitoring and electronic health records.
Combining biomedical research with emerging technologies, Caterina later expanded her expertise into digital health, blockchain, artificial intelligence and decentralized systems. As Health Solutions Designer at eHealthnet Scarl / Città della Scienza, she managed projects in ICT for Health, including feasibility studies, market analysis, project design and business planning.
She also co-founded Post Your Care!, a platform focused on translating healthcare research and innovation into practical solutions for patients and caregivers, and founded Blockchain Ladies, a community supporting women in blockchain and Web3.
She served as external expert for Innov@Difesa and as Crypto Fundraising Expert & Endorser for Fondazione Umberto Veronesi, bridging advanced technologies with healthcare, research and social impact.
Over the years, Caterina has lectured on blockchain, decentralized technologies and AI, while working on blockchain consulting, governance, token models and decentralized AI solutions. She has developed a strong focus on the ethical implications of AI and responsible innovation, also reflected in her role as Scientific Director of AURORA International Study Center.
More recently, she evolved from Senior Blockchain Consultant & Analyst to IT Manager within a large international ICT company, leading teams and improving IT services through cloud, DevOps and ITIL4-based practices.
