Climate Cafe: Songs of Connection at Pete's Candy Store feat. brahm masla
Climate Cafe presents a series of musical performances and bonding climate discussions at the storied Pete's Candy Store in Williamsburg. This month, our featured artist will be singer/songwriter brahm masla. This event is part of a monthly performance series.
Together we will explore our fears, anxieties, hopes, and yearnings for a world in ecological crisis. Through a series of guided discussion questions, reflections, and music we will create a space that can safely hold our collective grief and transform it into healing medicine. Come share, listen, heal, and make a new friend with us. All are welcome.
brahm masla released their debut EP “And we were names” on all streaming platforms in 2022. Heralded by Foray Music as “a stunning debut”, and by Julian Drucker as a “masterpiece”, “And we were names” is a 5 track EP dedicated to Brahm’s childhood best friend who passed away at a young age. The album follows the 5 stages of grief, as represented in each song. In 2024 Brahm released their single “Dust” chronicling the end of a longterm relationship, and then in 2025 focused their attention on finishing the debut album of longtime original band June Arc. “June Arc’s List of Things That Move” came out August 8, 2025 and is available to listen on all streaming platforms.
